The City of Cape Town reminds residents to comment on the proposed traffic calming measures in the Northern Suburbs.
According to Rob Quintas, the City’s Mayco member for urban mobility, the roads identified for improvements are close to schools, hospitals and old age homes.

‘We have identified roads in various suburbs in the north where there are large numbers of vulnerable road users. These proposed traffic calming measures will enhance road safety for all road users, which is a top priority for the City.’
The roads that will be included are:
- Leeuberg Street, Bishop Lavis
- Weimer Road, Parow
- Gladstone Street, Boston
- Dingle Road, Vasco Estate
- Settler Street, Bellville
- Stellenberg Road, Bellville
- Langenhoven Street, Bellville
- Sam Njokozela Street, Kraaifontein
- Sydow Street, Kraaifontein
- Medway Street, Durbanville
- Schubert Avenue, Durbanville
- Door de kraal Avenue, Kenridge
