Cotton On Body is looking to ensure that its customers enjoy a few high vibrational activities this Christmas with the launch of its sex toy range and sexual wellness accessories. Its latest additions will be titled The Self Love Range and will include vibrators, sexual lubricants and massage oils that will be available for customers to purchase.
The move appears to have divided the internet with many claiming that it’s “inappropriate.”
“Really does Cotton On need to sell these. My 14-year-old shops from you online, maybe not any more after seeing these,” one user wrote.
“A shop that sells kids clothes shouldn’t sell this stuff,” another user wrote.
Thankfully, the criticism wasn’t all bad. Other users claimed that it was a bold move for the fashion retailer with many applauding them for normalising female self-pleasure.
“Yay for Cotton On removing stigmas against female sexuality!” A user posted. While others chose to walk on the lighter side of life and have a laugh or two.
“COT- TURN- ON,” a commenter hilariously posted.
“Delete before Mr Price sees,” one user could be seen saying.
However, if you’re getting ready to pull out your credit card and purchase these thoughtful Christmas stocking stuffers, we have bad news for you my fellow, self-pleasuring South Africans. Unfortunately, this range is only available in Australia.
“At this point, Cotton On Body’s Self Love range is a limited edition trial and is exclusively available online in Australia only,” the fashion retailer said in a statement.
While we eagerly await these nifty self-care products to make their way to SA, we will just have to rely on Clicks for our self-pleasure purchases.
