Two women were fatally shot and three others injured when an unknown armed man entered their house in Hanover Park on Tuesday night and opened fire.

Captain FC van Wyk says police are investigating two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder following the incident on Lansport Road. Five women, aged 32, 35, 50, 60 and 75, were sitting in their house when a grey VW Polo stopped outside.
‘A male got out of the car and walked into the house. Several shots were fired inside the house, hitting all five women.’
The 75-year-old female was fatally wounded on the scene, while the 60-year-old woman succumbed to a gunshot wound to her chest. She was declared dead when authorities arrived on the scene.
‘The other three injured victims aged 32, 35 and 50 were taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.’
The suspect fled in the grey VW Polo and is yet to be arrested. Anyone with information on the incident can contact Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
