It has been a whirlwind year for musician Master KG, who has reached international acclaim for his hit song Jerusalema. It seems he cannot stop winning, as he has just been awarded yet another accolade.

On Friday [December 5], the Limpopo-born artist won an award for the best international song at the NRJ Music Awards, which honours the best in the French and worldwide music industry.

This is no small feat, as he beat out fellow artists like The Black Eyed Peas, The Weeknd and Dua Lipa to earn the top spot.

Master KG has seen much success in 2020 thanks to his smash-hit ‘Jerusalema’ that has taken the world by storm.  It introduced a popular global dance challenge, and is now the most Shazamed song in the world.

In August, the infectious song reached over 100-million views on Youtube, and it recently reached the number one spot on Top 200 France charts.

He also won the title of ‘Best African Act’ at the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) in November.
