Andre Truter, the Mayor of Saldanha Bay, has reported that businesses along the West Coast are stepping up to provide employment opportunities for workers affected by the recent fire at the Shelley Point Hotel in Saint Helena Bay.

The devastating fire, which occurred on Tuesday, left approximately 150 hotel staff without jobs.
Mayor Truter revealed that the Protea Group and Sea Harvest in Saldanha have already extended a helping hand, as reported by EWN.
The Protea Group contacted him and offered positions to those who lost their jobs, while Sea Harvest expressed their willingness to employ some of the displaced hotel workers.
