Table Mountain National Park’s NCC Environmental Services have confirmed that the fire at Chapman’s Peak has been contained, but it is still very hot and windy on very steep slopes – this could change at any minute.
“Kudos to the pilots in their flying machines. Not easy under these conditions,” says the NCC Environmental Services.
Two helicopters were deployed to assist in dousing the blaze.
