Police have confirmed that two suspects have been taken in for questioning in Gauteng following the break-in at the SA Rugby offices in Cape Town.
Parow police responded to a call-out in Panorama on Tuesday after two men broke into an office complex housing the SA Rugby Union (SARU) and auditing firm where 68 laptops, Rugby paraphernalia and high-end liquor were stolen.

CCTV footage was shared on social media platform X, showing the two men casually walking around the SA Rugby offices at around 9pm.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa said Serious Violent Crimes (SVC) detectives are making headway and arrests are imminent.
‘As part of the elaborate investigation that extends beyond the borders of the Western Cape, two suspects have been apprehended in Gauteng and are being questioned with a view to apprehending the perpetrators of the act.
Potelwa added that once charged, the suspects will make a court appearance in Cape Town.
‘Since the break-in, the SVC detectives have been hard at work pursuing several leads. With the progress that has been made thus far, a breakthrough is on the cards,’ said Potelwa.
