Located in the Steenberg neighbourhood of Cape Town, adjacent to Table Mountain National Park, the Norval Foundation combines the experience of art with an appreciation for nature.
What’s more, the Norval Foundation is rolling out an exciting summer line-up of art exhibitions, including exhibitions dedicated to the works of Alexis Preller and Cinga Samson.
What better way to spend a summer day in the Mother City?
The Alexis Preller Exhibition will be opening on 30 November 2023, while Cinga Samson is slated to open on 13 December.
Beloved South African painter Alexis Preller will be commemorated through a thrilling new exhibition entitled ‘Mythical Lexicon’, which draws together a large number of Preller works that have not been seen together for many years, showcasing artworks from private and public collections across South Africa.
The works of Cape Town-based artist Cinga Samson have become known for their distinct style, gaining international acclaim for this local artist, and the upcoming exhibition, entitled ‘Ukhe nje wasondela ndakuphosa kulo mambo’ (If you come close, I will push you into the river), focuses on a selection of 20 pieces that highlight the young painter’s mastery of the medium.
Norval Foundation also recently unveiled the sculptural works of Walter Oltmann and will soon be welcoming these two new exhibitions dedicated to Alexis Preller and Cinga Samson to the Foundation.
