“A home should never turn its back on the street. It must speak to the street with a sense of community, and in that dialogue achieve its own privacy,” this is how renowned architect, Vernon Head describes the units of the Luxia Ravine estate in Cape Town’s luxurious Bantry Bay.
According to reports, the six units of this “hot” property will reportedly be sold for R39 million each. Construction on the estate commenced in 2017, however, because of it’s location and the design of the property, it had to be designed into the mountainside which the earthworks took two years to complete.

The four-storey units, which are almost identical in design and floor size, have an overhead view of the Atlantic Ocean has three bedrooms, five bathrooms, a double garage, and a sizeable balcony. However, the only difference is that the size of the driveways and gardens vary, from 16 square metres to 91 square metres with some units including a heated swimming pool.

The units are also equipped over four levels with audiovisual, lighting, and window coverings that can be digitally controlled. Security is fully automated via Control4 Entrance door stations and CCTV surveillance. There is also a private elevator, you can access to reach the 3rd-floor living area.
Meanwhile, Dogon Group’s Adrien Epstein told Business Insider South Africa, the estate in Ravine Road is a particularly sought-after road, as it is a cul-de-sac close to the ocean and enjoys the finest Bantry Bay micro-climate.
